5 Ways to Make an Extra £100+

It’s no secret that I am a massive fan of boosting my income in as many ways as possible, and whilst I always aim to share my favourite ways regularly it’s important to remind you of just how many ways there are to make some extra cash.

So without further ado, here are five ways to make an extra £100+ along with my honest thoughts.

Bank Switching

You might already be happy with the level of service that you are receiving from your current bank, and even if this is the case you can make £125 to £215 with bank switches. Here’s a full list of the one’s available right now:

Here’s a blog post explaining how I have made £1,000+ without moving my main bank account by completing bank switches.

Why I love it!

This one is the best bang for your buck that you can possibly get, with each switch taking ~15 minutes of your time but securing hundreds in extra income; you simply can’t argue against it (unless you have an upcoming mortgage application - then avoid it!)

Sign-up Offers

Brands want you as a customer and they will pay a lot of money to win you over. That is really all the above bank switching offers are when you get to the core of it. However, there are also lots of great sign-up offers available outside of bank switching:

Why I love it!

This is my bread and butter, and I have made £1,000s from keeping my finger on the pulse of all the latest and best sign-up offers. These are some of my favourites (alongside some great new offers) and it is essentially free money ready for the taking!

Matched Betting

This was my first ever side hustle and has recently resurfaced with me making ~£50 from 1 hour’s work last month and already having made over £60 this month from less than an hour. The premise is that you use betting sites’ promotional offers to make a profit.

Whilst this may sound complicated, the free guide here that I have written has helped our readers earn £10,000s!

Why I love it!

The earnings are tax-free, and once you get into the swing of it there is some serious cash to be made here. I personally have made £3,000 from very little input on this side hustle and it remains one of my favourites (and not just for nostalgic reasons).

Mystery Shopping

Mystery shopping and micro-tasks are a brilliant way to make some extra income, and on the day of writing this (14 July 2023) I made £114 in 3 hours doing micro-tasks across a number of stores proving that it can be an extremely lucrative way to make some good cash!

I have recently written up a piece about mystery shopping that explains how it works in a little more detail.

Why I love it!

It gets me out of my comfort zone and trying different things; for example in today’s tasks I was building cardboard burger bun units for Tesco stores earning ~£30+ per hour which is something I never thought I would be doing!

Market Research

This one is a little more hit-and-miss, but it can be exceptionally well-paying when you secure research calls that pay ~£40+ per hour! My recommendation for this is to sign up to all of the market research sites I recommend here and apply for as many studies as you possibly can!

Why I love it!

It’s a great way to share your thoughts and opinions and earn a great amount in return for it! I hope to do more studies as time goes on, but it is not easy to secure jobs regularly in my experience!
