My honest opinion on budgeting

Budgeting is an interesting topic, and one that I think is extremely important.

However, there is one thing that I am seeing more regularly. That is the idea of people cutting out all of their spending just so that they can save £X for a new car or something similar.

I am all for cutting down on unnecessary expenditure or cancelling unused subscriptions for example. What I don’t like though is the idea that people are living miserably to try and save money.

I don’t care what anyone says, a new phone, a new car, or even a new house, is not worth missing out on drinks with friends, meals out, takeaways, and holidays.

I know that this is the only way that many people are able to cut costs and therefore save money.

However, let me introduce a new idea to you that I love to share with all of our followers over on Instagram.

Instead of trying to cut back on your small luxuries (Costa, Domino’s, etc.), why don’t you look at increasing your income instead?

This may sound like it is easier said than done, and I too thought that before trying to boost my income in recent years. So to make it easy for you, we have listed all of the best ways to earn extra money online.

You can find this page here, and it can help you earn £1,000s online.

When it is possible to earn a lot of money online, you can understand my frustrations when I see people telling others to stop buying coffees. The small expenses do add up, but why not enjoy that Iced Latte and make an extra tenner that day!

Budgeting isn’t the problem in my eyes, because budgeting is vital. The main thing to come out of budgeting is understanding how much money comes in, goes out, and where it goes.

That is budgeting in a nutshell and it is really useful to know this information because a lot of us are guilty of overspending!

All I want to say though is please try and focus on building that income whilst enjoying your little treats, rather than feeling like you can’t have fun on a budget!

Do you agree?
