How I made an extra £1,048.54
As we reach the end of November and the start of December (not quite sure how that has happened!) I have been reflecting on a busy month of additional earning which has exceeded my own expectations. The festive period always seems to bring more opportunities to make money from my two favourite sources, being mystery shopping and market research, as both form part of big brands’ advertising budgets which always skyrocket towards the end of the year.
I am beyond grateful that I can continue to shout about the extra income I make on a regular basis and even happier that thousands of you continue to do the same following my tips and tricks! So here is how I got on in November.
The Bank Engine: £400.54
November was a slightly rocky month income-wise for this website and its associated social media challenges, which was supported at the start of the month by the lucrative SuitsMe referral scheme which generated £77.50 (7 referrals) towards the top line income before they decided that they actually don’t want referral schemes to be used for lots of referrals and froze my link.
Surprisingly, most of the income came in during this last week of November and was driven by two key contributors being TopCashback referrals totalling £80.00 (3 referrals) all on or around Black Friday, some of which have just triggered this bonus from as long ago as 2021, and also from new Webull commissions following the revival of their scheme.
I continue to be grateful for the extensive opportunities for me to earn money from doing something I love, but note that this is all down to the people who use my links and what I enjoy about my business model is that I only really earn money if one of you has as well!
Mystery Shopping: £204.35
I hit mystery shopping hard this month across the three main apps that I use (Roamler, SmartSpotter and Shepper). I completed a total of 53 tasks ranging in value from £1 each up to £18.00 for the highest earning task. I have been keen to push efficiencies recently but note that this was not the case during November - whilst there were so many opportunities available I took them despite seeing a drop-off in my average hourly earnings.

TopCashback: £102.40
I have shared these offers on my recent emails and know that many of you completed them like I did, but I was shocked to see how fast these actually paid (although some of this seems to be a result of someone messing up somewhere!) but the two big cashback offers I got paid for were:
Santander Stocks & Shares ISA Offer: £75.00 - Opened and funded ISA, cash received and in the bank within 2 weeks
Cahoot Sunny Day Saver Offer: £25.00 - Opened savings account, cash received and in the bank within 2 weeks (before I had even added any funds to the account)
I am awaiting payment for the second Cahoot £25 payment which I’m expecting in the new year! I also earned £2.40 for purchasing a £20 gift card as part of a 24 hour promotion they were running on TopGiftCards.

Wirex Sign-up Offer: £100.00
I did not share this offer back in October when I did it as I was incredibly cautious as I’ve read dozens of reports of people not receiving their payment. Wirex is a cryptocurrency business that also offers a debit card. In October they were offering a referral scheme that pays £100 to the referrer and referee when a new customer signs up and completes 20 x £10+ debit card transactions.
I did this by topping up Trading 212 and Revolut alongside a few legitimate transactions and lo and behold actually received £100 this week. The offer is not available right now but if it does I will share my link with the caveat that it may or may not work but this was certainly a pleasant surprise!
Bank Interest: £99.02
I continue to add funds to savings accounts for a number of large upcoming costs throughout 2026, and as such my bank interest keeps growing each and every month. I am now using Zopa for almost all of my savings (non-ISA) as they are paying pretty generous rates!
Market Research: £68.82
I got exceptionally lucky during November with the number of market research studies I was invited to and none of these were full-on calls, just short self-managed surveys which makes it even easier as there’s no huge time input!
I earned £60.00 from Askable which is my favourite app when you can get a study as they pay super quick and the studies are always really straightforwards. I then also earned £8.82 (US$12) from Dscout which is the most consistent for earnings, even if low, as I have received a study almost every month this year.
Dividend Income: £52.36
Dividends are a share of the profits that companies choose to share with their investors, and whilst I do not prioritise investing in companies that pay dividends, the majority of my investments are in index funds which hold these companies. As such, I regularly do receive dividends alongside capital growth from my investment portfolio.

Cashback: £14.31
EverUp - Cashback on groceries
I have now been using EverUp primarily for grocery shopping as they seem to have the consistently highest rates at the supermarkets I shop at averaging at around 4% or so. Combined with loyalty cards, and using a cashback card to purchase the gift cards through the app, this can often get it above 5% which is well worth the few minutes it takes to purchase a gift card through the app before shopping!
SuitsMe - Cashback on spending
Despite pulling their referral offer for almost all users recently, SuitsMe did actually have a half-decent cashback offer on their card which earned me just shy of £5 during November. This was built up from using the card to pay for Buy & Try task purchases on Roamler for which you can't use gift cards alongside making a purchase at B&Q for which SuitsMe had the best cashback at the time.
Airtime Rewards - Cashback on spending
Disclaimer, this isn't actually just for one month but is for a few months that I haven't recorded yet as I didn't realise I had earned cashback. Airtime Rewards links to your debit and credit cards and pays you cashback when it notices you spend at certain stores. You can only use the cashback towards your mobile bills but this is just as good as cash really!
Google Rewards: £6.74
Google Rewards is an app that pays you for answering short surveys on a regular basis. These typically are linked to your Google history and therefore I will receive surveys on shops I have been to and asked if I made a purchase, if the store was accessible, etc. or based on Google searches I have made recently.
From the surveys, I made £6.88 during October and each one takes about 5-10 seconds.
You can also earn from taking photos of receipts, it will try to figure out if you visited a store based on location history and will ask you for a receipt, you will then get paid roughly 10-20p for each receipt.
If you use an Android this can only be redeemed as Google Play credit, but simply set up a subscription to be paid via this (Disney+, Netflix, etc.) or can be paid via PayPal if on iOS but you will obviously earn more if on Android.
