Barclays rarely offer a bank switching bonus, but have joined the large list of banks offering cash before Christmas and have upped the ante with £200 of switching cash available!
Here’s how it works:
Open a sole account (no joint accounts) through the Barclays app - “Barclays Bank Account”
Switch in a current account from a different bank with 2+ active direct debits
Join its “Blue Rewards” scheme:
This costs £5 per month & you need to register for online banking & pay in £800+ per month
There are some rewards from this, but largely it isn’t worth the £5 per month, so cancel as soon as you receive the £200
Pay in £2,000 or more before 27 November 2025
Once you meet all the criteria, you will receive £200 cash within 28 days
Who is eligible?
Most people; you only won’t get the cash if you currently have or had a Barclays account before 7 October 2025 . If you have ever received switching cash from Barclays you also will not be eligible.
