So we are officially over the half-way point in 2024 - I really don’t know where that time has gone but hopefully your year so far has gone well!

As we move into July, I am keen to ensure I keep bringing you the best money-making and money-saving offers going!

GOT A LIFETIME ISA?

I am a HUGE fan of the Lifetime ISA and currently use Moneybox for my Cash Lifetime ISA and Nutmeg for my Stocks & Shares one.

However, I am now considering moving my Cash Lifetime ISA to take advantage of a new offer that could pay you up to £300 to switch:

This only applies to Cash Lifetime ISAs and is paid 6 months after transferring your existing Lifetime ISA & if you withdraw your funds before 12 months of transferring, they will recoup the bonus

Aviva Save is a new savings account platform launched by Aviva which aims to give you access to decent interest rates of up to 5.02% interest

If you open a savings account with them & deposit £1,000 - £80,000 you will receive a gift card for Amazon, Sainsbury’s or B&Q based on:

• Deposit £1,000 - £9,999: £10 gift card

• Deposit £10,000 - £19,999: £20 gift card

• Deposit £20,000 - £29,999: £30 gift card

• Deposit £30,000 - £49,999: £40 gift card

• Deposit £50,000 - £79,999: £50 gift card

• Deposit £80,000 or more: £100 gift card

You must hold the funds in your account for 6 weeks after which you will receive your gift card within 28 days by email

Might be worth looking to move some cash here temporarily to get the voucher!

MORE SAVINGS BOOSTS?

Aviva Save is powered by Raisin (a savings account marketplace)

Raisin offers you the ability to compare a number of high interest rate products from its partner banks, many of which have competitive rates

However, with their referral scheme you can also get a £50 bonus if you open an account through them & deposit £5,000 or more

The £5,000 balance must be maintained for 6 months so you’d effectively be getting a 2% savings bonus (£50 /£5,000 x 12 months/ 6 months)

If you have this level of cash set aside in a savings account it would be well worthwhile looking at the rates on offer & considering whether this bonus makes any of them attractive!

Zing is a relatively new app from the powerhouse that is HSBC

They have currently poured £100 millions into this app in an attempt to combat the likes of Revolut, Wise, etc & I’m not going to lie - the app is good

It’s a free app that acts like a virtual wallet you can top up with cash from your other bank accounts or debit cards

You can then use your free card to spend the cash in the UK, but can also use it for foreign currencies whilst abroad using a good exchange rate!

(I will be using it when we go abroad later this year in lieu of Chase)
