I think it is safe to say that we are now laser-focused on the countdown to Christmas, as the supermarkets fill with Christmas chocolate (which of course I have had to test, to make sure it’s okay - spoiler, it is!)

Offers should start to come in thick and fast as we get towards the end of the year, but this week I am focusing on how to get Christmas ready for less to save the stress!

Given the rest of our monthly expenses don’t disappear, it can be a mammoth task to be able to fund such high costs and with families it can be difficult to strike a balance between budgeting & creating memories

There’s now less than 100 days until Christmas and if we were to aim for a nice round figure of £1,000 that works out at just over £10 of extra cash per day that you would need to make to meet the target!

Mystery Shopping

• Do you have a few spare hours per week?

• Are you comfortable taking a few photos in supermarkets, etc.?

Mystery shopping is my best-earning side hustle making me £100s every month, tasks in supermarkets, shops and restaurants can pay anywhere between £1 - £30 for not too much work!

Market Research

• Do you have a laptop with a camera?

• Do you have somewhere quiet you could do video calls from?

Market research is hands down the best hourly rate you will get from any side hustle sometimes reaching up to £100 for an hour’s call

I’ve often found it difficult to get studies but Dscout is a new app I’ve been using recently and it has been the most successful by a long shot!

Matched Betting

• Do you have a quiet place to concentrate?

• Do you have good self-restraint if using gambling sites?

• Can you confidently follow instructional videos?

Matched betting is a way of making a profit from the gambling sites by taking advantage of promotional offers and securing profits by betting on all outcomes of events

Bank Switching

• Are you unlikely to apply for a mortgage or credit in 12 months?

• Could you spend 30 minutes setting up new banks for £100s?

Bank switching is not seen as a side hustle by many because they don’t know how to properly make consistent money from it. I do, and have made £1,000s from switching banks (get this, without actually leaving my bank!)

• Are you happy to download new tried and trusted apps?

Whilst the percentages may not always be high, even a few percent on £1,000 can add up to £20-£30 which is not to be ignored!

If you have been online much in the last week or visited a Sainsbury’s, you have probably seen ransacked shelves from incredibly greedy people going way overboard because some Cadbury products have been marked down 50% if you have a Nectar price

The largest selection of discounts is on the treat bags of chocolate buttons, etc. and this offer ends when Sainsbury’s stores close today (22 Sep)

Why Sainsbury’s didn’t put a limit in place, I don’t know but I would urge you not to rush to the shop to get any bargains given the shelves are likely empty but if you are heading there today and fancy some chocolate you might be able to grab a few stocking fillers or Sunday night treats for less!
