Klarna - FREE £25

It is no secret that I do not love Klarna, their overall tactics and position in the Buy Now Pay Later market is something that doesn’t sit right with me

However, they have launched a new debit card referral scheme which is worth looking at in isolation

This works for existing customers who do not have a debit card with them

How to get £25

1. Message me “KLARNA” on Instagram for a referral link

2. Enter your email address at the link I send you

3. Create an account and sign up for the Klarna Card

4. Add this card to a digital wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.)

5. Spend £5+ 3 times with the card

   • Top-ups no longer work and this must be made up of legitimate spending (I suggest splitting your grocery shop into 3 transactions at the self-checkout)

6. You will receive £10 into your “cashback” pot

7. Redeem this into your card

8. Message me when you’ve done this and I will pay you £15 on top

9. You can then spend the £10 on the card or top up Revolut, etc and close the account should you wish

10. You should also be able to refer your family and friends to complete the same, earning £40 per referral (capped at 10)

According to Klarna’s own terms and conditions, there will be no impact on your credit score when applying for the Klarna Card which is a debit card product

Please note that my decision is final and the £15 bonus will only be paid once the owner of the referral link receives their referral bonus and anyone who appears to be attempting to ruin the good nature of this offer will not be paid, £15 cashback will be paid by bank transfer

Lidl Plus Loyalty Scheme Overhaul

Much like Lidl copying other key brands’ products they have overhauled their loyalty scheme fresh off the coattails of M&S’ Sparks shake-up

However, this appears to be a step in the wrong direction for Lidl, here’s why…

Lidl Plus used to offer rewards on certain spending milestones throughout the month such as a free bakery item when you spent £10 or a 10% off voucher when you spent £250

Now you get 1 point per £1 spent, largely in line with the Tesco Clubcard points system which is okay but instead of spending £10 to get a free doughnut (say 39p) you’d now need to spend £39!

Most will continue to shop at Lidl but with regular Aldi price matches in the bigger supermarkets, I always use EverUp to get ~4% cashback on my shopping at Tesco, Sainsbury’s etc. which can often end up being better value

Cashback can’t be earned whilst shopping at Aldi or Lidl typically but if you are considering switching across to a new supermarket following this change then do check out EverUp below

Any Thomas Goes Free at Drayton Manor

Throughout May, to celebrate the 80th birthday of Thomas the Tank Engine, Drayton Manor are providing free entry to anyone whose first name or surname is Thomas

To claim this all you need to do is present valid ID at the ticket office

Children under 9 can also get in for free across selected dates in May

So if you are a family with the surname Thomas, you could be onto a winner!

£1.50 Family Trip to English Heritage

From today through to Sunday 17 May 2026, pick up a copy of the Daily Star, Daily Mirror or Daily Express and you’ll find a printed voucher for an English Heritage family pass

This pass can be used once but must be used before Sunday 14 June 2026 and covers 2 adults + 3 kids or 1 adult + 4 kids (kids are 17 and under, under 5s go free)

97p Cadbury Chocolate at Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s have launched a new offer this week with prices slashed across its entire Cadbury chocolate range with prices “half price” for Nectar card holders

Obviously they aren’t really half price as they up the standard prices to make the deals look better but prices are as low as 97p for a bag of Dairy Milk Buttons, Bitsa Wispa, Crunchie Rocks, etc. and £1.12 for Chocolate Fingers so it’s well worth a look

I am aware lots of greedy people will have taken more than they need so there may not be availability everywhere for everything, but if you fancy a cheap sweet treat this weekend you know where to go!

FREE Milkshake for Sky Customers

Whilst you’re in Sainsbury’s snagging some cheap chocolate, why not grab a milkshake to wash it down with, well if you’re a Sky customer you can get one for free!

Sky have been releasing weekly gifts for their Sky VIP customers (simply download the MySky app and you’ll get access)

This week you can get a FREE carton of Sainsbury’s own-brand chocolate, banana or strawberry milkshake - this does not work at small high street stores

You only get 60 minutes to scan the barcode from activating it so don’t activate too early and assume you’ll need help from a colleague as they can be temperamental to scan yourselves! I would recommend heading to a self-scan till rather than a scan as you shop till as the barcode readers are more receptive of the moving barcodes!
