Earlier this week I shared an Instagram post all about bank switching and I have just popped up a blog post on how you can make bank switching your newest side hustle (there’s £1,000+ of free money available RIGHT NOW!)

One of the things that I mention in both posts is how you can use a “dummy account” to avoid moving your main bank account and I got a lot of questions on which bank to set up this “dummy account” with.

I tend to recommend Starling Bank as they don’t do a credit check so there is no initial impact on your credit score & I stand by this BUT

Zing is a relatively new app from the powerhouse that is HSBC

They have currently poured £100 millions into this app in an attempt to combat the likes of Revolut, Wise, etc & I’m not going to lie - the app is good

It’s a free app that acts like a virtual wallet you can top up with cash from your other bank accounts or debit cards

You can then use your free card to spend the cash in the UK, but can also use it for foreign currencies whilst abroad using a good exchange rate!
